Attractions of Blackpool with Darren & Isobel

 Attractions of Blackpool

We had arrived at the iconic Blackpool Tower and we couldn't wait to climb to the top and admire the 360 degree views of the sandy coastline.

The brave amongst us managed to reach the very top, a staggering 401 feet above the ground. We all managed to make it across the glass walkway, looking down at all the people below.

One of our favourite places to visit in Blackpool is The Soul Suite where we are always treated like VIP's.  The ice cream sundaes are full to burst with every flavour of ice cream, sauces and sprinkles imaginable!

A brilliant morning was spent at Madame Tussauds where we got to meet some of our favourite celebrities. Everyone loved meeting Simon Cowell and being a judge on the panel of Strictly Come Dancing.

We had a drink in the famous Rovers Return, meeting the iconic landlady Bet Lynch.. still wearing her famous leopard print!

The cheeky double act Ant and Dec were waiting for us to cross the 'bridge' and had some bush tucker trials ready and waiting! We didn't think much to the creepy crawlies!

We even got to meet the Queen!

Oh we do love to be besides the seaside. Especially in glorious sun and bright blue skies!
We walked along the promenade enjoying the silly seaside paraphernalia.

We bought souvenirs and some of us even got a spray tattoo!

Most importantly we treated ourselves to a delicious ice cream!

What an amazing time we had at Blackpool SeaLife! First stop was at the rock pool where we were able to gently touch the star fish, small hermit crabs and various other small marine life. We watched the huge ray fish swimming around and coming up close to the window before entering the rainforest section. Here, we got to view the huge variety of unusual sea creatures including piranha and poisonous frogs.

It was one for the brave as we walked through the ocean glass tunnel with large sharks swimming above our heads. It was exciting to have the giant sea turtle gentle glide through the water above our head, too.

It was game on as we hit the bowling alley trying our best to score a lucky strike! It was a nail biting game and sometimes too close to call but we eventually crowned our winner.
