Turkey & Tinsel
Our Christmas festivities kicked off perfectly when we met Santa in his grotto. The room was warm and cosy with a huge fire,
a beautifully decorated tree and of course the big man himself, a vision of red
sat in his chair. We chatted and laughed away with him as we had our photo taken with him.
Off to the dance studio and games hall, where we participated in a spot of line dancing. We picked up the dance routine rather quickly and it was great fun. We tested our skill on the air hockey table before playing the
Scattergories quiz, all rounded off watching the entertainment team
performing festive musical hits.
The
professional resident band, Central Park played some fantastic Christmas songs
and we hit the dance floor to boogie on down, with Jimmy Jermain Shadow, who covered Cliff Richard's most loved Christmas hits. He was fantastic, and we danced the night away.
One of the highlights was a performance by the entertainment team of the classic pantomime, 'Aladdin'. What a spectacular show, full of hilarious pantomime jokes and dazzling dance
routines.
We were keen to visit the Christmas market in the historic
cathedral city of Chichester. We strolled through the cobbled
streets, towards the market. We knew we were close when we spotted
the dazzling Christmas fairy lights and decorations. Stopping at the wooden
craft stalls, everyone admired the pretty displays and purchased gifts
and souvenirs for themselves and loved ones. We visited quaint little shops and
even had a photograph with Santa next to a beautiful Christmas tree.
Majestic Voices, a Queen tribute act blew us away! Their harmonies were fabulous, accompanied by spellbinding routines. Everyone knew the words and we sang along to the well know hits.
