Christmas Celebrations
We were over the moon when we go to meet the big man
himself! Yes, Santa came to visit us and we loved having a photo
and a chat with him. He gave us a lovely gift to take away as well. It
really was very exciting!
Christmas morning was a special experience as we opened presents that we had brought from home. We
"oohed" and "aahed" at the wonderful variety of gifts that everyone
had been given by their loved ones.
We loved meeting the friendly donkey's.
We ate a Christmas dinner fit for a king. The restaurant and
tables were stunningly dressed, with different coloured balloons filling the
room, complete with crackers, party poppers and blowers to add some merriment
to the most special meal of the year.
Every evening we were entertained as the dance team burst onto the stage, dazzling us all with
their sparkling costumes. They sang and danced, performing many festive hits. We couldn't resist hitting the dance floor to boogie on down. We
were blown away by the ABBA tribute act who performed all the bands well
known songs.
The games room always provided tremendous fun playing darts, air hockey and
table tennis. We enjoyed some friendly competition.
One of the highlights was a performance of the classic pantomime ‘Aladdin'. What an amusing
and imaginative way of telling the story, full of fun and frolics.
We took a trip to the
seaside and had a super ride on the little steam train, taking in all of the sights as
we chugged along, hugging the coastline and enjoying the special ride.
