Christmas Pantomime with Midi, Netty & Marguerite

  Christmas Pantomime

A beautiful, crisp winters day saw us take to the waters of the River Cam on a traditional Cambridge Punt, cruising along, enjoying fantastic views of the world famous Cambridge College and bridges.

We strolled around the gardens and admired the inside of Kings College and the impressive Trinity Chapel. We wandered along the cobbled streets browsing the quaint little shops for a souvenir.

The museum of Zoology was full of wonderful exhibitions and we were fascinated by all the animal skeletons on display. We took photos of the mammoth sized elephants and the rhino skeletons.

Our wonderful accommodation was so beautiful and we loved exploring the very grand rooms. We had never seen such a big Christmas tree before.

We put on our festive
Christmas jumpers and enjoyed a delicious meal. We had decided to celebrate Christmas early and began the celebrations with the formidable party poppers and pulled our crackers. We laughed at the little joked whilst tucking into a feast of BBQ meats. We then took our seats, ready for the pantomime to begin. Aladdin and the rest of the cast entertained us as we laughed, cheered and booed at the baddies. We were impressed with the dazzling costumes, especially those of Widow Twanky!

Another cultural day out in the market town of Ely. We wandered around admiring the 17th Century architecture and the impressive Cathedral. We managed to do a spot of shopping too.

With such wonderful grounds to explore at Madingley Hall it made for some lovely, relaxing walks.  We also had great fun playing games of hide and seek!
