Norfolk - Boats, Trains & Seaside
After getting kitted out with life jacket we boarded the sailing boat. We came
to the open water of the Broads where we were joined by a few yachts, canal boats
and some more sailing boats. We sailed around the broads while
everyone had a go at steering and guiding the sails.
Another day we went on canoes whilst others followed with a small engine boat. We paddled and sailed
steadily down the canals whilst spotting a wide range of wildlife.
We visited Wroxham Barns animal farm where we got to feed
the sheep, goats & chickens. We also all had a go at bottle feeding the
calves which everyone seemed to really enjoy.
At the Sandringham Flower Show
we made
our way through food, arts and crafts, and flower and plant tents at a steady pace
and in great spirits.
At the main arena we got in time
to see a dog show, bike stunt show, classic war vehicle show and a bagpipe
routine.
Some people let out a quiet word that
Prince Charles and Camilla were nearby, so we took the opportunity to snap a
photo of them going passed in the royal carriage! We then continued around the grounds exploring all the different stalls on show. We met
police officers, soldiers and saw award winning gardens.
In Statham
Bridge we boarded the cruise boat. It was wonderful cruising down the canals -
with the roof open and the sun shining down on us as we navigated our way
through the busy canals. Everyone got the opportunity to steer the boat, which was a great experience.
On our last day we visited the horse sanctuary where we
walked around admiring and stroking all the animals that had been rescued.
