The Wonders of the Isle of Wight
Our evening were fantastic! We enjoyed joining in the line dancing and watched amazing shows and all enjoyed a good old sing along. We
danced to the live band and some disco hits until late.
Another day we headed to Osborne House in East Cowes. This beautiful house was built between
1845-1851 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home. Following her death
the house was handed to the state and is now a private museum. We enjoyed looking at all the beautifully decorated ceilings and the wonderful
artwork on display.
We visited the Needles where we used different coloroued sand to make lovely ornaments to take home. We also watched the glass blowers making beautiful vases to be sold in the shop.
We had super games of ten pin bowling, which was great fun! Everyone achieved smashing scores!
At the beautiful village called Godshill, we visited many of the souvenir shops
and enjoyed a cup of tea and cake in the Old Smithy tea room. We walked around
the fabulous model village and enjoyed looking at the miniature houses, crafted trees and shrubs.
