Butlins, Fun & Dancing
We saw many spectacular show during our stay at Butlins, the evenings ended with us all dancing on the dance-floor to fantastic hits!
We all loved the funfair rides. Some of us were showing their driving skills in the bumper cars whilst others took to the
umbrella ride. We also visited the amusement arcade where we played a few pennies.
We visited the Seal Sanctuary and watched the seals and
penguins at feeding time. We also got the opportunity to see four seal
pups which were in the hospital after being rescued and nursed back to
health. We all enjoyed the meerkats and spent some time feeding the
goats. We walked around the reptile house and the aquarium admiring the
beautiful colours of the different types of fish.
The Village Church Farm - an open air museum containing
many original farm buildings, including an original 1760’s farmhouse,
workshops, old farm machinery and a "Mud and Stud" thatched cottage.
On our way home, we stopped at a beautiful place
called Anderby Creek, which has miles of beautiful sandy beaches and boasts the
world’s first official Cloud Spotting Area. It was such a lovely sunny
day. We sat and watched the waves whilst some of the group took a stroll on the
beach collecting shells and admiring the wonderful views.
