After an early start we were all
in high spirits as we headed to Skegness for the start of our holiday! We met the rest of our group at Poppy’s
restaurant just outside Skegness for a tasty lunch. Over lunch we all got to know each other and
chatted about the fun we were going to have over the holiday. On arrival we unpacked and went out to
explore our fantastic surroundings.
After a quick change we went out to dinner in one of the many on site
restaurants, and then onto Centre Stage (one of Butlins night time venues) to
see a band play and then to dance the night away to the Red Coats disco!
During our week away, we enjoyed many lovely breakfasts with so much to choose from! We spent lots of fun time at the fun fair during our week away and some of us even won fluffy toys that we got to keep! Lots of us enjoyed swimming and having fun on the slides and flumes! We enjoyed a few leisurely strolls along the beautiful beach, eating delicious ice creams as the weather was so beautiful. We played a brilliant game of mini golf, too! James played Beat the Goalie and we all watched and cheered him on!
We took a trip to the Seal Sanctuary on one of the days, and we saw baby seals that had been rescued. We saw lots of other lovely animals too.
The entertainment in the evenings was just fantastic. We saw a Pink Tribute act, and also Queen! One night we even watched The Rolling Clones play at Centre Stage and boogied the night away!
We all had enjoyed a wonderful holiday and are looking forward to seeing you all again in the future!
