Royal Norfolk County Show with Darren & Debbie

 Royal Norfolk County Show
We spent two fabulous days at The Royal Norfolk County Show which showcases everything that Norfolk has to offer. It was amazing to see so many different breeds of cows and we did laugh watching the pigs not doing exactly as they were told.

The horse drawn carts were a must see! We couldn't believe how fast they moved around the arena.

The shire horses, although enormous they looked so graceful all smartly groomed and dressed.

There was so much to see in the tents from women spinning wool to the most elaborate flower displays. We loved seeing who had won rosettes and we each had our own favourites.

We couldn't resist a sweet treat for ourselves!

There was so much to see from posh cars, old cars, classic cars, tractors and forklift truck. We were in heaven!

We had the absolute pleasure of spending time with the RAF, where we all got to choose to either have a photo or get strapped into a display cockpit seat and get the headgear and visor down for photos. Alex as the birthday boy got a special treat, meeting the top man Fred the Group Captain of the RAF, and he singed one of his photos and had a photo with him.

The rare breed tent put smiles on our faces as we wandered around, trying to pronounce some of the different names. The goats certainly put on a show for us!

We sat in amazement as we watched the sensational R.A.F parachute regiment jump out of their plane that was flying a few thousand feet above us. Six very well-trained parachuters made their descents down, completing different drills in the air which had us in awe. Huge cheers greeted all the parachuters once they landed safely.

After exploring the beach at Hunstanton we made our way to the Sea Life centre for an underwater adventure. We saw the different areas and saw the long snout Seahorse’s, penguins, alligators before we headed to see the different species of clownfish. Watching the Pacific Sea nettle was fascinating, and we could have stayed there all day. A definite highlight was meeting Ernie the majestic green sea turtle who swam so gracefully in the water.

We took a ride on The Wash Monster for a coastal tour toward the cliffs which are rich in fossils. It was a memorable trip!

We love celebrating a birthday on one of our holidays!
