Butlins, Fun & Dancing
We love celebrating a birthday here at JollyDays!
The live entertainment always gets us up on our feet dancing the night away. The fantastic
tribute to the Jersey Boys, had us singing away to the hit tunes of the swinging 60’s. We were taken back to the
70’s with a tribute to the one and only ABBA; we knew all the words to their
songs. The
show was electric with their fabulous dance routines and colourful outfits.
A highlight of our holiday was getting to meet the Jersey Boys after their performance! What a memorable night.
We spent the morning exploring the funfair!
We flew high through the sky on the swinging chairs, bumped into each other on
the dodgems, whizzed around on the waltzer and rode the beautiful horses on the
carousel.
We made the perfect magicians assistants in the Hall of Illusions and laughed at how funny we looked in the mirrored maze.
It wouldn't be a holiday without treating ourselves to an ice cream!
We got competitive at the
bowling alley! The tension built as the game began and everyone played their
best. We had some brilliant strikes and high scores. Well done everyone for
being great sportsmen and women!
The Redcoats were always so friendly and we loved posing for photos with them and learning their great dance routines on the dance floor.
We never missed a photo opportunity with the fab Butlilns paraphernalia.
We took the Cliff Railway and made our way up to the village of Lynton.
The railway
remains the world’s highest and steepest fully water powered railway in the UK.
Here we were able to get some breath-taking photos and after a walk around we
made our way back down to Lynmouth.
