The Island of Madeira
We took a lovely stroll around the area to take in the beautiful views of the island. A relaxing time was had by all with stops along the way for drinks and shopping.
Another day we caught a bus to the centre of Funchal. At the port there we saw many cruise liners and wandered around the shops. It was then off to the historic Madeiran street market which had a large display of fresh produce on sale.
At the hotel lounge a different show was on every night, therefore we were all able to test our dancing skills.
We went on a coach excursion to the Valley of the Nuns. We stopped at some lovely view points along the way to take pictures before reaching our final destination - the Valley of the Nuns. The views were spectacular at a height of over 3000 feet!
