Royal Norfolk County Show with Midi & Eva

  Royal Norfolk County Show

We visited a lovely small farm with animals such as rabbits, goats, sheep and pony’s. We had a chance to feed and touch them making for some great photos opportunities. We then took a stroll around the pristinely kept grounds.

In Great Yarmouth we went to the Merrivale Model Village, a beautiful attraction with landscaped gardens, streams, waterfalls, miniature garden railway and an old penny arcade.

Our first day at the Royal Norfolk Country Show! In the arena we watched the Heavy Horse display pulling beautiful carriages and heavy farm machinery. We also watched the local farmers proudly showing their prized pigs, cows and sheep. We took a stroll around the various stalls and were amazed at the size of some of the farming machinery. There were also many classic cars on show and some very old and new tractors.

Back at the Royal Norfolk Country Show for day two!  In the tents we looked at the various stalls selling clothing, leather goods and lots of various types of food before heading to the main arena to watch the show jumping and various competitions with the horses and riders. We then sat and waited for the RAF Falcons Display Team to parachute out of the plane which was directly above us. What an amazing sight all jumping and landing in the precise location marked within the arena.

The weather was absolutely perfect so we headed to the beach. We sat and relaxed in this amazing weather and later enjoyed an ice cream.

At the bowling alley some great scores were made and everyone cheered when strikes were scored.

On our last day we took a the steam train to Aylsham and back. Everyone loved the slow and steady ride through the countryside admiring the views. We then treated our self to the most delicious strawberry and cream tart before some souvenir shopping.

We also went on a boat for a tour of the Norfolk Broads. A lovely big boat with plenty of space for everyone to sit and enjoy the stunning views of the broads. We managed to spot rare sights of beautiful birds and glorious types of sailing boats.
