New Years Party & Twixmas (Part 2) with Colin, Jeanette, Adrian, Elaine, Phil, Sandra, Pat, Faye and Owen

A very Happy New Year to all!  What an amazing time we all had on our New Years Party and Twixmas holidays!  We joined in with so many activities which included a variety of quizzes (which tested our brilliant combined knowledge!), archery, dance classes, table tennis, snooker, crossbow and many more!

Owen encouraged everyone to take part in the Warners Pop Choir and did a magnificent job at organising everybody!  They all put in lots of hard work practising the songs and put on a cracking performance!  They got a huge great big cheer from everyone staying at the hotel.
It goes without saying that we spent a lot of time on the dance floor, showing everyone else how it's done!  There was a stunning fireworks display on New Years Eve and we all watched in delight.  At the countdown to the New Year, we all waved our flags with vigour and wished everyone a very happy 2014!  There were party poppers, Christmas hats and lots of dancing!
Everybody had a fantastic time away!  What a holiday!

Christmas & Twixmas (Part 1) with Derek, Helen, Owen, Faye and Pat

What a fantastic Christmas we all had on The Isle of Wight and Hayling Island!  With so many activities to choose from, we all took part in quizzes, archery, dance classes, snooker, table tennis, bell ringing, choir singing and much much more!   We were spoilt for choice with the vast array of festive food on offer, and we danced the nights away with plenty of Christmas cheer!

Much to everyone's delight, we all met Santa Claus and some of us even got to meet his donkey's and have our pictures taken with them! They were very friendly and ever so soft and cuddly.  We were spoilt yet again with presents which were presented to us at the dinner table.  We must have all been very good  this year!

The entertainment teams on all of the resorts put on some amazing shows and were absolutely brilliant.  They all came and interacted with our groups and took them for a boogie on the dance floor!  We received lots of lovely encouraging comments from other customers about how happy our groups were and how well attended to they all were.

We had all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas together and made lots of new friends.  It was a shame that the holiday had to come to an end and everyone expressed how much they wanted to come away again next year!

Christmas Pantomime with Phil & Jeanette

Raring to go and full of excitement, we picked up the troops and made our way to Cambridge, where we unpacked in our lovely hotel rooms.  The city was buzzing and festive, with everyone getting ready for Christmas!  We then had a wander around a few shops and soaked up the atmosphere.  It was then back to the hotel for a coffee in the terrace bar.  We enjoyed dinner in the hotel and chatted the night away over a few drinks, photo’s and stories!
The following day it was off for a game of ten pin bowling!  Everyone was in the competitive spirit and managed some impressive scores.  Afterwards we enjoyed a fabulous lunch in Cambridge followed by a delightful little wander along the river.  All of the buildings were very historic and extremely beautiful.  Everyone said how old the buildings were and how much they liked the old cobbled streets.

It was then back to the hotel to freshen up and have dinner before watching the pantomime! It was the evening that everyone had been looking forward to and everyone was in high spirits.  It was a fantastic show and everybody got involved throughout!  Robin Hood was certainly well received by all.  OOHH YES HE WAS!   In good panto cheer we headed back to the hotel bar for late night drinks before retiring to bed after a long and full day!

After breakfast it was into Cambridge for the day!  After leisurely ducking into some charming little shops, we enjoyed lunch next to the river.  It was extremely relaxing watching all of the boats going by.  After lunch we had a wonderful time punting down the river with our own tour guide. It was an interesting trip, seeing the university grounds and learning some history about Cambridge.  What a wonderful week we had!
