Spanish Coast & PortAventura with Phil, Mags & Candy

Excitement filled the air as we boarded our flight to sunny Barcelona!  We fell in love with our large spacious rooms at our luxurious hotel and made ourselves at home right away!
 


 
Our days at the park were absolutely FANTASTIC!  We couldn't wait to try out the huge array of rides, from the Tea Cups to the Rollercoasters!
We certainly were a bunch of thrill seekers!
 
 
 
We got drenched on the Water Cannon Ships, which was a highlight for all!  Some brave souls braved The Shambhala - the tallest rollercoaster in Europe.  They said it was the ride of their lives!   
 
 
A mega well done to those that plucked up the courage to go on the rides and overcame their nerves!
 
 
We had a wonderful boat trip in the bright sunshine. Some of us jumped off of the boat into the sparkling sea whilst the others clapped and waved at us! 
 
 
 
 
 
We went to the stunning beach at Cambril and had fun splashing about in the waves and having a brilliant time!  We watched a fabulous water and lights show in the evening, where the water made impressive patterns to beautiful music.
 
 
We visited the lively town of Salou and had an excellent train ride, taking in the sights and sounds all around us.  Stopping at the market, we sampled delicious ice cream and dipped into some authentic shops where we bought souvenirs to take home!
 
 
Our evenings were full of fun, dancing until the early hours to cracking live music!  The local people were extremely friendly and made us very welcome.  What an incredible holiday, full of brilliant memories!
 
 



















French Countryside & Coast with Pat & Adrian

! BONJOUR TOUT LE MONDE ! 
 
 
 
That's what we shouted as we arrived into Calais after our beautifully smooth ferry crossing!
 
 
Arriving at our luxurious gite in the late afternoon sun, we unpacked in our lovely spacious rooms and we knew that our adventures had truly begun!  Our first evening was kicked off with the first of many traditional French meals - il était délicieux!
 
We immersed ourselves in the local culture at Campagne Les Boulonnais .  We wandered around the vibrant market, looking at all the tempting goods on offer! 
 
We spent a fantastic afternoon in Montreuil where we joined in with the 70 year celebration of the liberation of the town!  The whole place was buzzing with activity and we saw bands, soldiers, tanks and people dressed in 1940's costume. 
 
We visited Etaples where we walked around the war graves which made a huge impression on us all.  
 
We had an amazing steam train ride which took us on a scenic journey through the stunning Somme Valley. The scenery was breath taking and we waved as we chug chugged along.
 
 
Hardelot Castle was loved by all.  We ambled around the pretty grounds by the river and said hello to the friendly ducks! 
 
A visit to the local chocolatier was  a must and we watched the entire chocolate making process from start to finish!  We even got to sample some - it was mouth wateringly tasty!
 
 
Our day at Nausicaa was superb!  Being the largest aquarium in Europe, we saw an astonishing array of sea creatures including alligators, crocodiles, sting rays, jellyfish, starfish, sea horses and many brightly coloured fish!
 
Our holiday was jam packed full of exciting adventures and we can't wait to go back again!
 
 

















South Coast Sea, Sand & Attractions with Steve & Michaela


 This was a summer holiday at it's best!  We were blessed with huge dollops of glorious sunshine throughout our holiday, enabling us to enjoy beautiful Devon to it's full potential.

We enjoyed endless views of natural beauty and visited many picturesque places.  We explored the pretty villages and harbours of Torbay, Dawlish, Postbridge, and Chudleigh Knighton. 
 
 
 
 
We spent a fantastic day at Widdecombe Fayre in the Dartmoor National Park. We ambled amongst friendly animals and were able to stroke them. We loved looking at the stalls and attractions!  On another day we visited the Donkey Sanctuary which everybody adored.
 
 
We went to lovely town of Sidmouth where we strolled long the beach and devoured a heavenly cream tea....... (dare we mention the ice-creams!?)
 
 
Paignton Zoo was a cracker of a day! We saw giraffes, lions, tigers, gorillas, cheetahs, snakes, monkeys, crocodiles and many more fascinating species! 
 
We visited the lively Totnes Market where some of us bought souvenirs to take home. We went to Buckfastleigh and had a beautiful steam train ride.  We wandered around an excellent World War II exhibition. 
 
We had a superb trip on a Paddle Steamer on the stunning River Dart.  It was very tranquil and we learnt some interesting facts about the local area. When we docked at Dartmouth, we scoured the delights of an irresistible fudge shop and sampled some mouth-wateringly good treats!
 
We spent a wonderful afternoon in Kents Caverns, a network of prehistoric caves with an astonishing history!
 
 
 
We visited the butterfly and otter sanctuary on Burgh Island. We saw them feeding the otters which was amazing!  We wandered among thousands of brightly coloured butterflies. 
We let our creative flares come to life as we did a ceramic painting workshop - Well done to all for some fabulous designs!
 
 

Our evenings were spent having delicious meals out and BBQ's, followed by LOTS of live music, singing and dancing at the Clubhouse.  It really was a FANTASTIC holiday - thank you to all who made it so special!
