Ski Austria-novice & intermediate with Jamie, Derek & Faye

 Ski Austria- novice & intermediate

We were back in one of our favourite places and we couldn't wait to hit the snowy slopes!

Our hotel was situated in a picturesque village, it was like something you would see on a postcard. It was just a short walk away from the main lift station, which was a good way to stretch and limber up!

With all the gear (and some idea) we had  a few practise runs on the nursery slopes and Andy and David obviously hadn’t forgotten what to do. No sooner than we could say ‘ski’…. they were off, up on the button lift making their way to the top of the run.

The views from the mountain were simply magical. We enjoyed writing our names in the snow and making snow angels!

After a hard days skiing we would always head back to the welcoming hotel bar and reward ourselves for our efforts! We were lucky enough to have a sauna and steam room, which was the perfect way to relax after our active days.

Our fearless skiers were soon coming down the red runs and tackling runs they had never accomplished before which was such a huge achievement...... all with big smiles on their faces!

It was great to be taught but such competent instructors and we really noticed a huge improvement, perfecting our parallel turns and snow plow.

The group always met for lunch at their favourite bar, right at the top of the mountain. It  was great to all get together after a morning of hard skiing and exchange stories of who had fallen over the most! One afternoon we were treated to a traditional Austrian fondu, which was absolute amazing! What's not to like about gooey, melted cheese?!

It was fair to say that we had loved every second exploring this fantastic ski region and we couldn't wait to visit again next year.
