Blackpool with Adrian, Pat & Candy

Excited and happy, we all set off on our journey to the brilliant Blackpool.  We arrived at our comfortable and spacious bungalows and made ourselves at home!  We set the holiday off with a bang by having a fantastic dinner in a local pub and finishing the night off with some Jollydays dancing in the club house on site!

Throughout the week we got up to lots of exciting things.  With our Big Ticket, we took a plunge into the medieval past of the Tower Dungeons, learning all about the ancient forms of torture!  We had an amazing experience in the 4D cinema, ducking from seagulls and riding the waves - what fun!  On another morning we enjoyed the Aquarium, seeing hundreds of different species of sea creatures! We all loved the impressively large lobsters reaching out towards the glass with their huge nippers!  We got to hold the star fish and feel their bobbly surface - what a wonderful experience.

We had a cracking visit to Madam Tussauds, making sure to have our pictures taken with the stars!  Some of us couldn't believe how close we were getting to them - they were so lifelike!  We watched in wonder at the Waltzing Waters show, which lit up one not-so-sunny afternoon.  It was magical to watch the water dancing to the music - a truly unique show.  Some of us braved the glass floored sky walk at the top of the Tower - most brave indeed!   We all had a whirl around the delightful Ballroom Tower dance floor, whilst enjoying tiers of cakes and sandwiches in between dances!

We ate some super food during our week away, with Adrian cooking a storm each morning  in 'Adrian's CafĂ©!' as everyone called it!  No needs unmet he laid out yoghurts, cereals, croissants, fruit, and of course a full English if it was desired - what a treat each morning!  We did some leisurely strolling along the nature trail, noticing all of the spring flowers coming into bloom.  And of course, we had a game of ten pin bowling, loved by all.  Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful week away!

Out & About on the Isle of Wight with Phil & Wendy

Another whirl of a week on the Isle of Wight!  Blessed with beautiful blue skies on most days, we took in the sites of the Needles, looking out across Allum Bay.  We watched the glass blowing demonstrations and saw some wonderful vases being created right in front of our eyes!  Everybody loved watching this creative process.  We enjoyed the spectacle of Waltzing Waters, a fantastic light and water show.  There were lots of "ooo's and ahhh's!"

Our trip to the Donkey Sanctuary was loved by everyone - we even got to stroke them.  Some of them were very soft.  We all loved the way their ears twitched!  Barbara even got a kiss on the cheek from one of the Donkeys!   Ten pin bowling spurred on some impressive scores, with the girls putting the boys to shame!
On one morning we took a trip into the delightful little town of Godshill and wandered around the Model Village which was loved by all.  It was strange but fascinating to see everything scaled down to such a miniature size!  We also visited the most heavenly little chocolate shop with some of us buying gifts to take home.

As with every Jolly Days Holiday, after our delicious dinners, we  headed for the entertainment hall where we were the last to leave the dance floor most nights, loving the dancing and singing.  The shows as always were excellent and the entertainment team were very friendly and always loved dancing with our group.

Center Parcs with Phil & Pat

What a week full of fun we had at Center Parcs!  We stayed in beautiful Woodland Lodges, set in amongst a beautiful canopy of tall pine trees - the perfect location to feel a part of nature and enjoy a fantastic holiday.   There was wildlife all around and the ducks came right up to our windows!  We soon settled  in set out to explore the site and get to know our surroundings better.
We enjoyed some crazy golf, ten pin bowling, games of pool, table tennis and several invigorating strolls down by the lovely lake.  We had such fun kayaking - splashing around and trying to steer together!  We enjoyed the atmosphere of the swimming pool - some of us went for a relaxing swim whilst others experienced the exciting Tropical Cyclone rapids!
We all tried our hands at tennis and badminton and enjoyed several competitive games - everyone got into the sporting spirit!  On one afternoon we hired bikes out and rode through the glorious forest, enjoying the natural sights and sounds around us.  What fun!   We devoured some delightful food whilst away, trying Italian, Indian and French food.  We even indulged in a special pancake lunch on pancake day with lemon, sugar, lemon, chocolate and jam....delicious!  It was a very memorable holiday enjoyed by all.

Luxury Spa Break with Jeanette & Isobel

What a fantastic week away we had at our Luxury Spa Resort.  Throughout our week away we had several wonderful treatments which left us feeling thoroughly relaxed and revitalised!  The beauticians were extremely friendly and made us all laugh!

We enjoyed eating lots of delicious food, finding beautiful little pubs and restaurants in the local area.  We admired the historic Colchester Castle and Hollytree's museum, explored the village of Dedham and went to Flatford Mill.

What a wonderful holiday we had, and went home full feeling totally refreshed.
