Norfolk- Boats, Trains & Seaside with Midi & Netty

Norfolk- Boats, Trains & Seaside

All aboard the old diesel train for a

The sun shone as we sailed along the beautiful Norfolk Broads. We all took turns being Captain of the 'Nancy B' and we were able to steer and rig the sail on the sail boat. Some of us even had a go at canoeing. We were definitely naturals!

Midi cooked up a feast on the BBQ whilst we relaxed, watching a film. We also celebrated Micheal's birthday with a surprise birthday cake, ending a wonderful day doing what we love the most, dancing the night away to our favourite disco hits.

We spent the morning in the pretty village of Wroxham for a wander and a browse around the gift shops for souvenirs. We stopped to feed the swans that had gathered by the bridge, before relaxing in the warm sunshine with a drink by the river, watching all the boats come and go.

As we walked into the park we could spot the magical Disney Castle in the distance. The main street was busy with bands playing music before the Disney character parade started. We cheered and waved as our favourite characters passed by.

We were so excited when we saw our first glimpse of Mickey & Minnie Mouse. We couldn't wait to have our pictures taken with these cheeky characters. Tinkerbell dazzled us in her very sparkly fairy dress and we had our autograph books signed so we could take them home to show our friends and family and to keep as a memento.

We had a fantastic time at Universal Studios & Hollywood Studios. We watched a stunt show from the movie, Indiana Jones which had dare devil stunts, loud bangs and lots of fire explosions too. We put out wizardry skills to the test as we visited Harry Potter World. People were dressed up in their gowns, waving their wands at us. Luckily they didn't put us under any spells!

A dream come true. A once in a lifetime experience to swim with Dolphins. We were able to gently stroke them, the gentle creatures took us for a swim on their backs and the best bit was when they gave us a kiss, in return for a treat of course!

Yorkshire Dales,TV Soap Country with Candy & Eva

Yorkshire Dales, TV Soap Country

We had a wonderful trip on board the old steam train as we travelled through beautiful rolling countryside towards Goathland, also know as Aidensfield where the infamous TV soap Heartbeat is filmed. We loved visiting all the iconic places including Gina's cafe and Scripp's garage.

A visit to the Wensleydale cheese factory for a lesson on how cheese and butter are made. We also got to meet the cheese loving characters themselves, Wallace and Gromit! Our favourite part of the trip was getting to taste the delicious varieties of cheese.

Another wonderful day was spent exploring the  villages where Emmerdale and Last of the Summer Wine is filmed. We had great fun pretending to be the landlord and landlady of The Woolpack pub. Lunch was enjoyed at Sid's Cafe where we were joined by a life size cardboard cut out of Nora Batty. Lots of souvenirs were bought in the gift shop to remind us of our great day out.

The sun shone as we made our way up the very steep Sutton Bank. There wasn't a cloud in the sky which gave us the most incredible views over the Yorkshire Dale's. We found a perfect spot to enjoy our picnic lunch.

Everyone loved looking around the refurbished Textile Mill admiring the huge classic car collection they have on display.

Butlins, Fun & Dancing (Minehead) with David & Ase

Butlins,Fun & Dancing(Minehead)

A fun morning was spent at the crazy golf course. We all had a great time on this adventurous and challenging course. A few of us were lucky       enough to score 'hole in one!

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside! We weren't quite brave enough to dip our toes in though! We treated ourselves to a yummy ice cream after a walk along the promenade.

We tried our luck at the amusements, spending our 2p's in the penny arcade before making our way to the funfair. The thrill seekers amongst us twisted and spun around on the Waltzer and we                 bumped into each other on the Dodgem cars.

You will normally find us on the dance floor dancing the night away to the disco hits. The Spice Girls tribute act was one of our favourite shows of the week. We knew all the words and sang along to their famous songs. We are always so happy when we get to meet the Red Coats, especially when they dance and party with us too! We enjoyed getting to meet the very lovable and cheeky Teletubbies and have our picture taken with them.
