A DAY OUT AT THE EDEN PROJECT

New Forest & Hampshire County Show

Another great county show with weather that made it comfortable to wander around and enjoy the spectacle.

Our two lucky customers had a wonderful time, and if I had a pound for every time Paul said "it was the best", "wicked" and "awesome", then we would all be rich hahaha

After our arrival to the New Forest and settling in, we went off for a trip through the beautiful countryside and found ourselves a lovely pub in the heart of the forest and had a beer and dinner.

Tuesday was our first day at the show. We saw a great mixture of birds and rabbits before we came across the vintage reed baler and the old traction engines. Next came the vintage motor bikes before we viewed the wonderful flower and vegetable shows in the main marque. Absolutely fantastic!
We made plenty of use of a rest and watched the horse showing which was followed with the horse-drawn commercial and light industrial vehicles. These were "awesome"
Later we sat and enjoyed the brilliant stunt riders and the heavy horses pulling the larger carts.
Off to another lovely country pub for the evening before retiring for the night.

Wednesday was again spent at the show. The list of things that we saw and enjoyed goes on and on. Amongst them were art shows, honey tasting, cattle, rare pigs, sheep, hounds, bird of prey displays etc
We headed back to our caravan and relaxed with a BBQ and a glass of wine.

Thursday we were off to the coast and took a ferry to Mudeford where we had a very easy time watching life go by as we got a few rays whenever they decided to peer through the clouds. However it was nice and warm and suited us nicely.
Another BBQ and then off to the clubhouse to watch the entertainment before bed.

Friday is home time, but we made a decision to extend the holiday as long as possible (normal JollyDays policy) and headed to Poole for a stroll and a fish & chip lunch which was superb.

I think Paul was right.......it was the best, wicked and awesome......all of those things!!

Thanks Christine and Paul for being fab customers.
