Disneyland Paris with Mags, Mel & John

   The Magic of Disneyland Paris

The parade was magical with  explosion of colour, lively music, bright costumes and vibrant floats. We saw all the famous characters parading just in a front of us! It was amazing to soak up this fabulous experience with Mickey and all of his friends.

At the Walt Disney Studio's we met some of our favourite friendly Disney characters and collected their autographs and posed for photo's!

We went to Animagique, a live show featuring Mickey and Donald and some amazing back light effects to accompany famous scenes from classics such as The Lion King and Jungle Book. It’s was a real treat for everyone!

We also went to see the incredible driving in the Stunt Show! There were plenty of skidding, swerving, jumping and even flying through fire. It was an incredible behind-the-scenes show!

A few of us went on the Big Thunder Mountain where we boarded onto a mysterious train that took us deep in the heart of the legendary mountain for a thrilling ride! Others went to enjoy a ride on the Thunder Mesa Riverboat where they navigated through the Rivers of the Far West.

Portugal Coastline with Steve, Michaela & Tini

Portugal Coastline

Eager to start our holiday we went to town to do a spot of shopping for hats and sunglasses. We had a fantastic time walking along the sea front and ambling around the many shops. We also lunched in one of the beach front restaurant with a stunning view.

We woke up to a beautiful blue sky and couldn't wait to spent the day at the beach.
Some of us went swimming in the sea and others simply relaxed in the glorious sunshine. We also played beach volleyball, bat and ball and football.

We spent the whole day at the Zoo Marine Park and had a fantastic time full of fun and laughs. Some of us swam with the Dolphins which was truly an unforgettable experience. We also went on the fairground rides and enjoyed watching the birds of prey show, the Dolphin show, the Sea lion show and many more attractions.

We took a boat trip up the river Arade to the ancient town of Silves. In the river we saw lot’s of Turtles swimming around. The town of Silves was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed a spot of lunch at a riverside restaurant and afterwards a bit of gift shopping.

We ate some incredibly delicious food during our holiday, sampling some traditional local cuisine.  There was lots of fresh fish on offer and many other seafood delights. We boogied away on the dance floor in the evenings at local bars playing brilliant live music.

New York Sightseeing & Broadway with Colin & Netty

    The Big Apple

After a very comfortable flight we were so excited to made our way to our fantastic hotel on the very popular 7th Avenue where we were perfectly located in Midtown Manhattan for all the sights and attractions.

We took the Circle Line boat tour of Manhattan that took us close to The Statue of Liberty then passed under 19 famous bridges and saw the Yankee Stadium and much more of the city.

All dressed up for the evening we went to see "The Jersey Boys" at the August Wilson Theatre. The show was fantastic, as you would expect on Broadway. Everyone enjoyed it very much.

At Times Square we jumped on a Tour bus that took us on a guided tour Downtown. We saw many landmarks such as The Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Maceys and many more. We also went to see the 911 Memorial where previously the Twin Towers were.

We spent a great deal of time wandering around Central Park which was only a short walk from our hotel. We loved the colourful Horses & Carriages that made the place very special.

We also visited Central Park Zoo where we watched the seals being fed along with the bears, tigers and  goats.

Butlins, Fun & Dancing with Derek & Paula

  Butlins , Fun & Dancing

On our first day we wandered around the site to acquaint ourselves with all the wonders of Butlins. We had great fun at the fair especially on the swing. We had a game of ten pin bowling and as the weather was so good we played a round of mini golf too.

We saw some spectacular shows where we sang and danced every night! We saw Danny Maine performing as Gary Barlow, the very popular Rat Pack and Freddie with many songs from the Queen song-book.

After a morning spent swimming and spending more time at the fun fair we decided to travel across the moors to Lynmouth. Once there we lunched on pasties & scones with jam and clotted cream. We had a pleasant walk along the pathway by the river. So beautiful!

Back at the fun fair the favourite activity for the majority was the go-carts where we felt like we were in a Formula 1 race.
Wandering along the sea front we had an ice cream and walked through the beautiful Blenheim gardens.
