Butlins, Fun & Dancing with Midi & Candy

 Butlins, Fun & Dancing

During our holiday we enjoyed having our picture take with all the Butlins fun attractions. We especially loved the giant chair!

It was time to find the dance floor, where we danced energetically to the disco tunes. We all sang, shouted and cheered the night away. We were also lucky enough to dance with the Red Coats most of the night and were complimented on our brilliant dance moves.

At the fairground, we had an amazing time on the rides, these included the Go karts, bumper cars, waltzers and many more. We also had lots of fun spending our pennies in the arcade too.

Every night we were all looking forward to watch the amazing shows and tribute act. We saw the Bee Gees tribute band, the incredible band, Showaddywaddy and the Spice Girls tribute act.

We went into Skegness, to see what this beach town had to offer. We all enjoyed and ice cream, taking in the sea air. A few of us enjoyed making some sand angels on the beach, much to everyone's amusement.

We had friendly competitive games of ten pin bowling, pool and crazy golf! Everyone tried there best and some great scores were made!

Another fantastic holiday in Butlins!!!

Once we arrived at the beautiful Sherwood Forest we took a relaxing stroll around our peaceful surroundings.

At the sports hall we enjoyed friendly tournaments of ten pin bowling and pool. Everyone was very fair in their play and all had great fun!

Feeling energetic we had a game of crazy golf with some lucky ‘hole’s in one’ scored.
Nathan was our champion with Richard coming in at second place.

we headed to the pottery barn. We were able to pick from amazing array of pottery to paint from squirrels, mugs, bowls and plates. It was such a difficult decision to make! We spent the whole morning creating masterpieces that we were all very proud of. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We decided to have a table tennis and softball tennis competition to end everyone played some really great games.

We went on a long walk along the nature trail. We stopped off to see if we could make it through the maize maze without getting lost. We were lucky enough to go into the bird watching area, and had a look around the nature museum.

At the badminton courts we challenged each other to a game of doubles. Some great rallies were played.

❆ Austria - Learn to Ski with Derek & Wendy ❆

❄❅❆ Austria - Learn to Ski ❄❅❆

We arrived at our hotel in the pretty village of Russbach. There was so much snow everywhere we couldn’t wait to get on the slopes.
At the sport shop we got kitted out with our ski equipment, got our ski passes and then met our skiing instructors.

This was Andy’s fourth year and Ben's second year skiing with us and they very quickly got their ski legs back and were looking very confident.

The snow conditions were amazing, there was no wind and not a cloud in the sky!

Andy's and Ben's confidence was improving all the time and by the end of the trip both showed great progress.

As usual we met up for lunch at the top of the gondola in the Gogosau Restaurant. Here we enjoyed a delicious lunch and had a chance to discuss our morning’s adventures before returning to the slopes to continue the tuition.

We enjoyed the spectacular views surrounding us, especially from the gondola.

All too soon our last day on the slopes had arrived but as usual we made the most of every minute and as the snow conditions were so perfect it couldn’t have been better. At lunchtime, our instructors, Thomas and Stephan, joined us for lunch. It was interesting to ask them about their life in the beautiful country of Austria.

We all had a fantastic time on the slopes and both Andy and Ben had shown great improvement in such a short space of time and they both hope to return with us next year to continue with their skiing adventures.
