Peak District Walk For our first walk of the holiday we went along the River Derwent then climbed up into fields to get views across the valley and on to the pretty village of Darley Bridge. We returned to Matlock along part of the Derwent Valley Heritage Way finishing up by the Peak Rail train track just as a steam train was passing by.   We gathered outside for the bonfire night celebrations. The massive bonfire was lit and soon it was a roaring inferno that kept us all warm as we watched the fantastic firework display. At the Chatsworth Estate we had a lovely time visiting all the rooms which were already decorated for Christmas.   Another day we went to Dovedale in the South Peak area. We walked beside the River Dove and crossed it by the famous stepping stones, then had a steady climb across Lin Dale with magnificent views of the surrounding hills.  We drove on to Tissington where we took a stroll around this quaint village go...

 Blackpool  On top of the Blackpool Tower we had a breath taking view. We could see across the city from one side and across the sea from the other side. At the Tower Ballroom we all enjoyed watching the dancers, they were amazing and some of us hit the dance floor too. We had a terrific time on the rides at the fun fair and all enjoyed spending a few pennies at the amusements. At the Sealife centre we were amazed to see  fish of all shapes and sizes. Our favourite part was the sharks. We walked through the tunnel with them swimming above us.   At the Madame Tussauds we had such a great time mixing with all of the rich and famous. We had our photographs taken with our favourite celebrities and even went into the Rovers Return. We spent a whole day in Liverpool where we visited the streets where the Beatles were brought up and we went to the Cavern Club and listened to the live music being played. The Island of Malta  On arrival we all unpacked and enjoyed some drinks on the hotel veranda overlooking the harbour.  We visited Marsaxlokk and the market where everyone managed to buy souvenirs and gifts. At Valletta, we saw the Canon fire at midday whilst enjoying the beautiful views over the three harbours.    We took open top bus tours on both the north and south side of the island. We visited the beautiful walled city of Medina. Everyone saw fantastic buildings, views and discovered the history of Malta.  We had a boat trip around the harbours and saw many amazing yachts and the incredible architecture of Valletta from a different perspective.   A brilliant sea excursion was had by all.  In Valletta we took the land train and saw the city sights. 

Exmoor Activity Centre We had a fantastic experience stacking crates as high as possible whilst standing on top and trying not to fall off. Naturally we were harnessed so that when we fell off the stack we were left suspended in the air. It was great fun!     After getting our wet gear on we were off to the reservoir to canoe. Our canoes were stabilised so there was no chance of tipping over and we soon got the hang of paddling. We played a game of points of the compass to test our skills of manoeuvrability and off we went! At the stable yard we firstly  had a grooming experience before climbing on board the horse drawn carriage and were  whizzed  around the menage. We rode horses in the indoor menage and enjoyed the fun of the gymkhana.
