Legoland - Denmark with Darren & Lorraine

Legoland - Denmark

We had arrived at Legoland, a family-friendly destination that combines fun, creativity, and education, making it a must-visit for LEGO enthusiasts and we couldn't wait to explore!

There was a whole host of rides to suit all personalities. Even the gentler rides were great fun, on rivers, through caves, through a safari of Lego animals. ‘Dragon’ was the favourite of the thrill-seekers. There were several opportunities to see the whole site, by monorail, train and a revolving, ascending tower. Now for the wet and wild rides which we had saved till the end of the day and those riding in the front cars got truly soaked.

We spent a while in Mini Land, where the iconic buildings from many countries were recreated in Lego. The moving parts - windmills, bridges, cranes, aeroplanes were amazing, particularly the NASA rocket preparing for take-off.

Some of the Lego sculptures are truly amazing, including a full-sized Ferrari car! We could only but guess how many pieces of the famous brick it took to build this!

A boat ride through Mini Land took us under Tower Bridge, past the Statue of Liberty, the Sydney Opera House and an Egyptian Sphinx. The more adventurous went on Eagle - fast and furious! We had a Mexican lunch in a cantina and the filled burritos were a popular choice. Next, we watched a great show, staged in the castle with divers and acrobats performing high dives and tumbles from the battlements. We went to Lego Movie World and were taken into ‘cyber space’ to fight battles.

We headed to the Lego House, (Home of the Brick). It really was the ultimate Lego experience with dinosaurs, animals, plants, trees, mountain scenes and cascading waterfalls. Truly magnificent!  You can even make a Lego character of your own choosing, which passes through a machine to print names/logos/items of clothing on the bricks.

There were immersive play zones and technical, interactive areas. There are over 25 million Lego bricks to dive into and build whatever you wish.

It was game on at the bowling alley as we split into two teams and let the battle commence! There were some great shots and high score all round. It was great to see everyone cheering each other on!
