Legoland - Denmark with Midi & Netty

Legoland - Denmark

Two fabulous days were spent in Legoland, nestled in the heart of Denmark. The iconic theme park offers a world full of imagination and joy.

We embarked on a water ride through a Viking-themed world, which culminated in a refreshing splash at the end.

From towering castles to iconic landmarks, the intricate sculptures showcased the incredible artistry that can be achieved with these tiny building blocks. We were giddy with excitement as we wandered through the park and straight to the biggest rollercoasters to satisfy the thrill seekers in us!

We boarded our jeeps for a Lego themed safari expedition. We loved spotting all the different animals! We continued making our way through the south side of the park, trying and experiencing all the wonder and magic on show here. The Polar X-plorer was definitely a group favourite as we embarked on an adventurous roller coaster that ventured into the Arctic landscape.

A trip to the Lego House in Billund was a must! This proved to be a world where imagination knows no bounds. Nestled in the town where the Lego Group was founded, the Lego House is a testament to the enduring legacy of these tiny bricks that have captured the hearts and minds of generations. The moment we stepped foot inside, we were transported to a world of endless possibilities, where both the young and the young at heart can relive the joy of building, exploring, and learning. We loved getting creative with making our own figures, bees and sculptures! We were in awe at the different colours, impressive sculptures - especially the giant dinosaurs made out of the tiny bricks.

What a day we had in store today! We began with a trip to the Aquadrome, a paradise of water-based wonders that left us with cherished memories. Our whole group seemed to be full of adrenaline junkies, so we prepared for the ride of a lifetime! The swimming pool boasted an impressive array of thrilling water slides that sent us spiralling down at breakneck speeds. It tested our courage, gave us a rush, which finally left us all with big smiles on our faces. Catching our breath, we decided to cool off in the Tropical Paradise section.

Today was a day of exploration. We began our site seeing tour by driving to a local castle. Englesholm Castle from the 1600’s now functions as a college for music and art students was simply stunning! We walked around the well-kept grounds, enjoying the lake. We enjoyed participating in a game of volleyball however dodgeball proved to be a firm favourite amongst us, especially when we kept hitting Netty! Next, we visited a nearby Nørup Kirke church and were all impressed by the stunning cemetery gardens that overlooked Engels Holm Lake.
