Best of Benidorm with Darren, Rache M & Rachel W

 Best of Benidorm

Sunshine and crystal clear waters. What more could we want! We couldn’t resist a dip in the and it was lovely and shallow so we could walk out for a long way. It was also incredibly warm which was perfect. We also spotted little white fish swimming round our feet which was exciting for us to see. Topping up our tans and lounging on the subbed was the perfect way to spend a day.

Everyone was super excited for our boat trip for a tour of the coast. We made our way down to the port where our boat was waiting for us. We climbed aboard and soon set sail to the small island of Calpe which is not far from the coast of Benidorm. The boat was smooth and comfortable and after just less than an hour on board we arrived. We went onto a glass bottomed boat where we could see all the fish in the water swimming around the bottom of the seabed. This was really good fun, it felt like we were in an aquarium with the fish swimming alongside us.

The island itself is small but there were beautiful views from its shore and lots of seagulls!

The evening entertainment never disappoints! You would find us dancing the night away to some brilliant live shows and singing our hearts out to a spot of karaoke.

The coach arrived and we took our seats ready for our adventure to Algar Waterfalls On the way our tour guide Will pointed out the small towns and villages that we passed and provided us with some of the local history, which we all thought was very interesting. There were a few flights of steps to negotiate but once at the top the waterfalls were stunning. The water was clear blue with trees covered in pink flowers along the banks. We all thought it looked beautiful. We all took our shoes off and paddled in the cool water, some of us even braved the chilly water and went for a swim, making it as far as the waterfall itself!

Making a splash in the pool and practising our swimming was a great way to spend a day. There was no better way to cool off!
