After an exciting journey, we arrived at our 5*
holiday village and settled in to our new surroundings. It was a case of
unpacking and heading off to a well known pub for dinner and a chance to get to
know each other over a relaxed evening before returning back to our bungalows for
a drink. A lovely day to start our holiday!
During our holiday we took some leisurely time to explore our holiday village. It was a beautiful site and they had a Spa Hotel and the most friendly horses in the world! They let us come right up to the stable doors and stroke them. Everybody loved getting so close to them.
We drove into Blackpool almost everyday and visited the most famous attractions that Blackpool has to offer! With our Big Ticket, we went to Madam Tussauds for a morning and had our pictures taken with our favourite stars! We were amazed at how life like the wax-works were! We also visited the Sea Life Center which was just incredible. We saw so many interesting and colourful fish, turtles, sting rays, crabs and sharks! 
We went to the 'Cinderella Circus' which was great fun and very entertaining with some magnificent circus acts! One brave soul, Richard, went to the dungeons with Derek and saved him from getting too frightened! We went up into the famous Blackpool Tower and had a spot of lunchtime ballroom dancing. Strictly Come Dancing has nothing on us!
We had a few games of ten pin bowling where everyone got into the team spirit and some competitive scores were produced! We also went to see "Free Birds" at the cinema. What a hit! It had us giggling all day!
We celebrated Phil's 50th birthday and broke open the sparkling wine and had a good ol' celebration! We all had a great boogie on the dance floor at the clubhouse on the resort. We had lots of laughs and everyone had a wonderful holiday!
