Turkey & Tinsel with Darren, Netty & Marguerite

   Turkey & Tinsel

Arriving at Gunton Hall with all its beautiful Christmas decorations really put us in the festive mood. We could't wait to celebrate our pretend Christmas with our new friends.

We celebrated the lovely Kathleen's 74th birthday by surprising her with a delicious cake!

In the Ballroom we had a fantastic time joining in with the Line Dancing lesson. We picked up the routine really quickly and soon perfected the steps!

We put on our party clothes and were shown to our table.Tonight was our Christmas dinner, a traditional turkey meal with all the trimmings. The dining room had been decked out with beautiful decorations and the table looked very festive too. The meal was incredibly tasty and we loved pulling the Christmas crackers, wearing the party hats and telling each other our festive jokes.

Every evening we were treated to wonderful entertainment. The in house band always played great tunes and the live music had us up on the dance floor,  dancing the night away.

We hired a boat for the afternoon, a large cabin cruiser and went out exploring the broads. It was so peaceful. We had ducks swimming besides us as we sailed along. We stopped off and had our picnic lunch before exploring the stunning Norfolk broads some more.
