Out & About on the Isle of Wight with Phil, Candy & Netty

The Isle of Wight just gets better and more beautiful each time we visit. We had such a fabulous time and loved our resort set right on the beautiful Solent.

Our week was overflowing with fun as we hit the dance floor every night and boogied our socks off!  We took part in some fantastic quizzes and played some exceedingly tense games of bingo!

Our trip to Allum Bay was loved by everyone.  We watched the most wonderful glass blowing demonstration, where they showed us the glass making process.  We were amazed at the beautiful finished products!  We went to the delicious sweet factory where we browsed the astonishing array of candied goods...too good to be true!  We even made our own interesting sand shapes with the sand of Allum Bay - well don't all for some expert creations!

A visit to the Model Village at Godshill was a must, and everyone loved seeing the scaled down village to such a miniature size!  Then it was off to the incredible Waltzing Waters where we were dazzled by a bewitching display of elegant dancing water, making the most enchanting patterns and interpretations of the uplifting classical music.

We were all so happy to see that the Donkey's on the island's sanctuary were being so well looked after.  We stroked them and got to feel how lovely and fluffy they are!  They were very friendly Donkey's and we soon made friends.

We had an exciting trip to the Dinosaur museum at Sandown.  We were fascinated by the many fossils on display and learnt all about the dinosaurs that had inhabited the island.
Competitive spirits dominated the air as we bowled to our best abilities - Well done to all for some brilliant scores!

As usual, our holiday was a roaring success and we returned home with a JollyBus full of happy holiday makers!  Thank you all for making what we do here at JollyDays so deeply fulfilling.
