Canal Boat Leisure Trips The holiday began with cheerful anticipation as everyone gathered for lunch, meeting one another for the first time and quickly falling into easy conversation filled with laughter and shared memories of past JollyDays trips. Perfect sunshine welcomed the group’s first canal adventure. After breakfast, they boarded their boat, Badger , and set off along tranquil waterways lined with willows, fields, and wildlife. Ducks, swans, cygnets, and swooping swallows accompanied them as they glided beneath bridges, paused for photographs, and enjoyed relaxed conversation. With steady hands and a confident smile, the boat was expertly steered along the canal, gliding smoothly beneath bridges and past peaceful countryside as if guided by a seasoned skipper.
