Warners, Fun & Dancing (Littlecote House) with Midi & Isobel

 Warners, Fun & Dancing

( Littlecote House)

Our dancing shoes were packed and we were ready for a fun filled few days together. We wasted no time in hitting the dance floor to the amazing in-house band who played a variety of timeless tunes spanning the decades.

There were so many great activities for us to join in with and we all did our best Robin Hood impression down at the archery shed. The real celebrations came when Ruth and Marissa hit the bullseye!

The grounds were stunning and we were keen to make the most of the glorious weather. We took a leisurely stroll around and met two retired police horses where we spent some time petting them.

Continuing our exploration we found the Littlecote Roman Villa. It was amazing to see the ancient Roman mosaic in the grounds, one of the finest preserved examples in Britain. Walking through the villa's ruins, we were reminded that Littlecote House is considered one of the most haunted places in Britain.

Another great evening of entertainment started with a hilarious in-house comedy show, followed by “The Queens of the Dancefloor,” a tribute to legendary divas like Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston. The energy in the room was electric, and soon we were all caught up in the disco fever.

We then embarked on a fascinating tour of Littlecote House, a manor with an intriguing and storied history. Dating back to the 13th century, it has been home to noble families, a Civil War headquarters, and even a meeting place for Henry VIII and Jane Seymour.

The competitive spirit was alive and well as we hit the bowling alley for a few fun games. There were some great strikes and high scores all round.

A few of the girls decided to relax in the fabulous spa facilities. The warm jacuzzi bath was the perfect way to unwind.

We always love celebrating birthday on one of our holidays .

A lovely morning was spent at the charming town of Hungerford. We spent some time shopping for souvenirs before taking a peaceful stroll along the canal.

Ski Austria - Novice & Intermediate with Ase, Derek, Faye & Nina

Ski Austria - Novice & Intermediate

Returning to the snowy Austrian mountains felt like coming home. We met our ski instructors, who greeted us with warm smiles and boundless enthusiasm, ready to guide us through the slopes with expert advice and encouragement.

Matthew wasted no time heading straight to the top of the red run. It was an exhilarating challenge, the steep, powdery terrain tested his skills as he competently carved through the snow, with the stunning views of the valley unfolding below.

Starting on the nursery slope, the rest of the group felt a mix of excitement and nerves, as the gentle incline gave them the perfect opportunity to practice their balance and technique, with the instructors patiently guiding them every step of the way.

Andy was determined to tackle the mogul conditions. These were tough but thrilling, with the uneven, icy bumps demanding precise control and quick reactions.

With smiles on our faces, we were taught to turn using a variety of different skills and drills which helped us focused on turning our body down to the valley.

The progress made throughout the week was evident, as our skiers stood tall, their skills refined and confidence boosted. This was especially evident when they headed up to a more advance slope using the T- bar drag lift. What an amazing achievement.

We all met up at our favourite restaurant, the Go-Gosau for some lunch in the glorious sunshine. The atmosphere was buzzing with Austrian music where we couldn't resist a little boogie!

The skiing award ceremony was a moment of celebration, with cheers and applause echoing through the room as the group all received a medal and postcard. Everyone's faces beaming with pride and accomplishment after a a week of hard work, determination but most importantly fun!
