Attractions of Blackpool with Midi & Eva

   Attractions of Blackpool

Everyone couldn't wait to get close to some of our favourite celebrities at Madame Tussauds. We loved having our photos taken with them. No-one could believe how life like they were.

We made our way up the gigantic Blackpool Tower, 390 feet above the ground. The views across the coastline were spectacular and if you were brave enough to look down you could see all the way down to the ground through the glass floor.

The Sea Life Centre was full of tanks filled with different species of colourful fish and coral. We got to touch the starfish in the rock pool and learnt all about LuLu, the oldest and biggest turtle they had in the aquarium. She was a very impressive 79 years old!

We covered every inch of Blackpool Zoo and we were lucky enough to watch the tigers and lions being fed.

Visiting the iconic Tower Ballroom met all of our expectations. A very special treat indeed. This is where they film the TV program Strictly Come Dancing. We watched as couples danced in their posh frocks gracefully around the dance floor  as we sat and enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea .

The Martime Museum in the heart of Liverpool proved to be a great hit.  The museums collection of impressive artefacts reminded us of how important Liverpool was in its role in the transatlantic slave trade and emigration. There was also a great exhibition on The Merchant Navy and the RMS Titanic. We enjoyed a walk around the Albert Docks before browsing the shops for some souvenirs.
