New Year's Party with Andy & Claire

New Year's Party
It was a beautiful, brisk winters day and we made the most of the blue skies by taking in the sights of Great Yarmouth. The beach views were stunning.

We had great fun in the bowling alley with some brilliant scores and strikes. Trisha was crowned champion, winning overall with a brilliant score of 100, although Mikey was only a whisker behind with a fabulous score of 99.

We of course then hit the arcades trying our luck on the fun games. We loved spending our penny's on the 2p machines.

The evening entertainment was fantastic and the in-house entertainment team performed incredible tribute acts. One of our favourites was the iconic rock band 'Queen'. The singers in Majestic Voices were incredibly talented and performed high energy dance routines. It was then our turn to show off our groovy moves on the dance floor!

We took our seats for the festive pantomime, Aladdin. ... Oh no it wasn't..... Oh yes it was! The entertainment team did a cracking job with the costumes and acting, and we all had a tremendous time being part of the fun.

We practised our skills with a bow and arrow, endeavouring to hit the target at the archery enclosure. At the end we all had a friendly competition to see who had mastered it.

We started of our New Year celebrations in style. Our evening started with a wonderful firework display. They exploded in a kaleidoscope of colours, sizzling, whizzing, banging and fizzing. It was stunning.

We were treated to a delicious meal and the tables were decorated with crackers, blowers, party poppers and fun balloons that whizzed through the air. The squeaking made everyone laugh.

There was a real party atmosphere in the ballroom and the  entertainment team performed a musical review of all their shows in 2019, followed by the melodic strains and dulcet tones of Crackerjax.

Everyone was in high spirits and couldn't wait to show off their enthusiastic dancing and imaginative moves. The ultimate 80's band The Wild Boys, saw us all into the New Year countdown, with immaculately choreographed and polished dance routines. Just before the countdown to the New Year began, a bagpipe player in full Scottish regalia piped us in, in style into the New Year.
