Christmas Celebrations with Duncan & Tracey

Christmas Celebrations
We were all very excited and cheered as Santa arrived to greet us! We had pictures taken with him and sang some Christmas carols, which he loved! We were full of Christmas cheer!

Christmas day had arrived and we couldn't wait to open our presents from our loved ones and from JollyDays. It was so exciting to see what everyone had received. We then got ready for breakfast and some of us put on our festive Christmas jumpers!

After all the jubilation's, we made our way to the dining room for our Christmas feast which was a very lavish affair. The table was dressed to impress with crackers, party poppers and the room was full of colourful balloons. The food was fit for a King and we left nothing on our plates!

We wrapped up warm as we watched the spectacular fireworks display. The pops and crackles of colour lit up the night sky.

We always had our dancing shoes on, and couldn't wait to hit the dance floor. A special moment was when the lead singer asked for the audience to call out their favourite songs. Martin jumped out of his seat and walked towards the stage. The singer gave him the microphone and to our joy, he started singing to the rest of the holiday makers. Everyone clapped and cheered as he was amazing.

We headed for the Pavilion to watch the Christmas pantomime, Aladdin. We all clapped, cheered and laughed the whole way through. At the end of the panto we had the opportunity to have our pictures taken with the actors.

This was followed by a panto workshop where we became the actors! We had great fun dressing up in our funny pantomime hats and ridiculous costumes. We were all laughing at each other! We practised our lines and it was then time to perform our very own version of the pantomime Cinderella, in front of a real audience!

There was a huge variety of activities that we got involved in. We loved ‘piano feet’ where we were taught how to play Silent Night on giant piano mats with our feet! We were all laughing and giggling as we were all trying to step over each other’s feet to complete the tune. This was followed by a game of Christmas pudding shuffle where we all had to push the puck that looked like a Christmas pudding to the Christmas tree at the end of the mat to score points. Our team got very competitive with Armen being quiet a natural at this game.
