Twixmas on the Isle of Wight with Steve, Michaela, Isobel & Darren

Twixmas on the Isle of Wight

We had a fabulous Christmas dinner, pulled our crackers and shared our jokes and enjoyed everyone’s company. In the ballroom we watched the Queens Speech and relaxed watching a James Bond Film.

We visited the White Military and Heritage Museum which has a wide range of exhibits on display, including a 1940s street scene and a WW2 police car. There is a range of Centurion tanks, jeeps and a large number of weapons, uniforms and other military items on display.

We enjoyed a lovely walk along the coastal path and even had a short trip on a boat!

Fantastic bowling skills by the group, some even managing to get strikes. Well done!

We drove along the coastal route stopping at Godshill for lunch and at Freshwater Bay. We sat watching the surfers enjoying the big waves.

At the Ballroom we watched the brilliant pantomime, Cinderella whilst eating complimentary ice cream! We also had the chance to have our photos taken with the cast.

At the activity centre we enjoyed playing darts, table tennis, pool and snooker. Everyone showed great team spirit after some exciting, close games.
On New Year's eve we danced to the live band before enjoying the Scottish Piper playing his bagpipes and addressing the Haggis. Then the countdown began to the New Year and the party really got going with party poppers and balloons and us all waving our Union Jack flags!
