The Wonders of the Isle of Wight with Naomi & Netty

The Wonders of the Isle of Wight

The sun was shinning as we headed to infamous tourist hotspot, The Needles and we were so impressed with the incredible views. We even used the telescope to get a closer look.

The Sand museum was a must and we all spent time filling  up a glass ornament with the different coloured sand that you can only find on the island. We were thrilled with our creations and agreed they would make great mementos.

Next we visited the Glass and Sweet factory where we watched skilled craftsmen make beautiful glass ornaments and some of our most loved childhood sweets. Luckily for us we all got to sample a tasty treat!

We enjoyed a charming visit to Godshill Model Village, where beautifully crafted miniature buildings and lush gardens brought the Isle of Wight’s heritage to life in delightful detail.

The evening entertainment never disappoints. From live shows to comedy acts. You would always find us on the dance floor showing off our disco moves!

There were so many activities for us to take part in and our active group were ready to give it their best shot! With a keen eye and a steady hand we certainly gave Robin Hood a run for his money! Everyone enjoyed riffle shooting just as much and there were great scores all round!

We all loved the swimming pool and we enjoyed practising our swimming and relaxing in the warm jacuzzi!

We visited the Donkey Sanctuary in Ventnor.  It was so lovely wandering around meeting the adorable donkeys. It was wonderful to see the amazing work that goes into giving these animals a home.

A great day out was had at Amazon World Zoo Park just outside Sandown. It was a real hit with our  animal lovers. We wandered through lush, rainforest-themed enclosures filled with exotic South American creatures, everything from sloths and tamanduas to toucans, ocelots, and capybaras. The Madagascar-style lemur walkthrough was a highlight, offering a rare experience of seeing these charming primates up close. The park also featured engaging daily talks and feeding sessions—like ring‑tailed lemur, red panda, and meerkat demonstrations. It was such a memorable day!

There were high scores and strike all round down at the bowling alley. It was great to see high 5's and cheers, congratulating each other on a great game.
