Disneyland Paris with Debbie, Jane & Nina

Disneyland Paris
The magic of Disney is real! The smiles on our faces said it all as we spotted the fairy tale castle in the distance. It was a dream come true. With our Mickey and Minnie ears on we were ready to meet some of the famous characters!

It was straight to Mickey's House to meet the main man himself! The excitement was clear to see.

No matter how many times you see him, it never loses its charm. He greeted us with big hugs and playful waves. We took a ton of photos, and everyone left smiling from ear to ear.

To our delight, we got to meet Merida from Brave! She was everything you’d expect—fiery, funny, and full of stories about her adventures. She told us about her brothers causing mischief and even showed us her bow. We couldn’t believe our luck when we also got to meet another Princess, this time it was Snow White! She was so graceful and warm, just like in the movie. We took photos and got autographs.

It was then time for the ultimate Disney moment: the Disney Stars on Parade. It was absolutely enchanting as floats rolled down Main Street, glittering and grand, with characters dancing, waving, and spinning to the beat of the music. The joy on everyone's faces (ours included!) was impossible to hide. We saw Cinderella, Woody, and even Elsa with a swirl of snowflakes in her wake. The colours, the costumes, the magic—it was like the stories from our childhood had come to life right in front of us.

It was time to hit the rides! We hopped on the Teacups, which had us laughing until we were dizzy! Next, we soared high on Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride – such a classic! Flying in those colourful elephants made us feel like kids again, giggling all the way. The Magic Carpets of Aladdin was also a fun, spinning ride where you control your flying carpet up and down, like you're soaring through Agrabah!

As the night set in we were ready for the grand finale: the new “Disney Dreams of Magic” fireworks show. Somehow, we managed to get front row seats, and the castle glowed in anticipation. Then—BOOM! The fireworks began, and we were swept into a breathtaking celebration of Disney’s most beloved stories. Each scene lit up the castle in dazzling colours: Tinker Bell flew across the sky, leaving sparkling pixie dust trails. The entire show was an emotional rollercoaster—joy, awe, nostalgia, and pure wonder. The finale burst into a rainbow of lights, with Mickey silhouetted at the very top of the castle. As the final note played, the words appeared on the castle in golden light: “Find your magic, embrace it, and pass it on.”

It’s a Small World was a must! It’s such a sweet, whimsical ride – a gentle boat journey through scenes from countries all over the globe, with adorable dolls dressed in traditional outfits singing that catchy “It’s a Small World” tune.

As we strolled through the park, we spotted Belle walking by. To our surprise, she actually stopped to talk to us! As if that wasn’t enough, Wendy and Peter Pan soon appeared, and they happily stopped for a photo with us. Peter even gave a cheeky grin, and Wendy complimented our group’s Disney spirit.

Over at Walt Disney Studios where we wasted no time in hitting the rides. Next up was Ratatouille: The Adventure – what a laugh! You shrink down to the size of a rat and race through Gusteau’s kitchen in a 4D chase. We couldn’t stop laughing when we got squirted with water out of nowhere – such a surprise. Next we hopped on Cars Road Trip. It’s a laid-back, scenic ride through a part of the park styled like the American southwest, hosted by characters from Cars. We boarded a big tram and cruised past oversized roadside attractions, rocky landscapes, and quirky billboards. The highlight was Cars-tastrophe Canyon – just when everything seemed calm, there was a dramatic “accident” scene with explosions, fire, crashing water, and shaking ground!

In true Disney style, we watched Mickey and the Magician – and honestly, it was one of the most magical parts of the entire trip. The show takes place in a grand old theatre, with Mickey as an apprentice to a mysterious magician. It starts with Mickey clumsily trying to clean up the magician’s workshop, but as he touches different magical objects, he’s suddenly swept into scenes from beloved Disney classics. then watched The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands – what an incredible show! The music, dancing, and acrobatics were breathtaking.
