Thorpe Park & Chessington
Three thrill seeking days were enjoyed and our group of dare devils were looking forward to ticking off all the big rides off their list! As
we approached, excitement hit its peak — the sight of the enormous rides
towering into the sky had everyone elated! With our fast-track passes ready, we
wasted no time and made our way to our first ride of the day — The Swarm.
This
is a thrilling wing coaster that plunges and twists around wreckage-themed
scenery.
The
afternoon was full of fun: we spun and bounced on Monkey’s Banana Ride, bumped
our way around the Dodgems, and had a good giggle on the classic Teacups

But
then came the highlight of the day — Hyperia! Wow wow wow! The newest and
tallest coaster in the park, Hyperia blasted us at breakneck speeds, with
stomach-lifting drops and wild airtime. Next, it was the big one: Nemesis Inferno. This coaster whipped us around through fire
and smoke in a series of loops, drops, and intense turns. Bone-shaking stuff,
but absolutely brilliant

But it wasn't long before we cranked things up again on the Seastorm- a wild and windy spinning ride that had us holding on tight as we zoomed in circles! From there, we headed out to sea again on Trawler Trouble- a bouncy, wave jumping ride that made us all yell out 'Wohhheeyyy! We kept the thrills going with a classic: The Vampire Ride. The screams were non stop! We took a break on the Gruffalo River Ride Adventure and tried our best not to get soaked by the sneaky water fountains!
As we were so close by, we couldn't resist a walk along the canal admiring the charming narrowboats and stylish
canal-side homes, soaking in the calm waterside atmosphere.
One of the highlights of our day was a visit to Bikeworks East London, an amazing community-focused
organisation. Bikeworks promotes cycling for everyone, no matter their ability
or background. They provide inclusive sessions with all sorts of fun and
accessible bikes. We had a blast trying out different styles – from
three-wheelers to four-person quad bikes, tandem bikes, and even hand cycles!
The instructors were full of energy and super friendly, helping us feel safe
and confident. We spent over an hour riding around Victoria Park, mixing
fitness with fun.
It was back to
Chessington World of Adventures feeling excited and ready for action. We headed straight for our first ride of the day: Dragon’s Fury! This spinning roller
coaster had us twisting and turning in all directions, laughing and squealing
as we flew around the track. We kept the thrills going with
a classic: The Vampire Ride. This suspended roller coaster had our legs
dangling as we soared through the air, twisting through the treetops and around
the thrilling course. The screams and laughter were nonstop – an absolute
adrenaline rush!

We
wandered into Wild Asia, where we were lucky enough to bump into Kalinka the
tiger, lounging in the sunshine. She looked so majestic – it was a real
highlight to see her up close. From
there, we hopped onto ZUFARI: Ride into Africa, where we got up close to some
truly incredible animals. We were amazed to see giraffes towering above us and
white rhinos just a few feet away. Next up was Tomb
Blaster – a fun, interactive dark ride where we shot lasers at mummies and
creepy crawlies. Then we cooled off in the SEA LIFE centre, marvelling at
penguins, jellyfish, rays, clownfish, sharks, and so much more – it was a
peaceful moment surrounded by underwater magic.

Our last day was spent visiting Lee Valley White Water Centre – a thrilling spot known for its
Olympic-standard rapids, where adventurous souls tackle white water rafting,
canoeing, and kayaking. As we walked around the centre, we enjoyed watching
groups riding the waves on their rafts, laughing, splashing, and holding on
tight!
