The Wonders of The Isle of Wight with Darren, Paul & Jackie

The Wonders of The Isle of Wight

Without hesitation we headed to the infamous tourist attraction, The Needles for a day of fun. Our first stop was at the Sand Shop where we got creative filling glass ornaments with the different coloured sand that you can only find here on the island. It's sure to say that we were thrilled with our finished masterpieces.

The viewpoint gave us a great outlook out over the Solent and we soon spotted the white chalky points jutting out of the sea.

A roaring good time was had at Dinosaur Isle Museum where we discovered the history of the dinosaurs that roamed  the island 125 million years ago. We got to see, touch and smell them whilst listening to stories about how they lived.

The Glass factory was fascinating and we really enjoyed watching the skilled craftsmen at work creating beautiful glass items. We couldn't resit popping in the shop and browsing all the handmade vases and ornaments.

It was down to the bowling alley for a few fun yet competitive games! There were some great shots and high scores. We gave a huge round of applause to those who managed a strike!
