Disneyland Paris with Debbie & Andy

 Disneyland Paris

There were huge smiles on our faces as we arrived at Disneyland Paris, immersed in pure fantasy.

It was time for the main attraction of the day. Of course, it could only be meeting the main man himself, the cheekiest and friendliest mouse in the world, Mickey! We were giddy with excitement as we cuddled, shook hands and gave him so many kisses! He surpassed all expectations, and we could have spent all day chatting away to him! A very special moment indeed!

One of our favourite rides was the Mad Hatters TeaCups! This most definitely was a firm favourite of ours as we crazily span around, giggling away to each other.

Continuing with the Alice in Wonderland theme we entered the Curious Labyrinth. Following the footsteps of Alice, we embarked on a fantastic voyage into the White Rabbit's hole and out the other side via Tulgey. There were doors of various sizes which led to the Queen of Heart's Castle. Here we spotted the Cheshire Cat's big grin! We navigated our way through the Queen of Hearts' daunting maze, where card soldiers pop up to a scream "Off with their heads" which made us laugh!

The catchy theme tune- it’s now stuck in our heads! It’s a Small World took us on a trip through miniature scenes from across the globe. We travelled through London spotting Big Ben and Tower Bridge, through Austria and the snowy mountains all the way to Hollywood and to Ancient Egypt.

We conquered so many great rides from flying high over the streets of Agrabah on our very own magical carpet to The RC Racer which is a horseshoe U-bend track which had us surging forwards and backwards, hanging in the air and defying gravity before racing back in the other direction. Cars Race Rally was also a hit and we certainly got out kicks on route 66! On the dusty desert tracks, we twisted and turned in the crazy motor cars. e ride safely, well done the drivers.

Everywhere you looked there were Disney Characters! They were always more than happy to stop and say hello! The perfect photo opportunity.

We were transported to a world of make believe as we sat back and watched some fantastic shows. An enchanting Frozen journey took us to Kristoff's barn where along the way we got to join in with a rendition of a classic reindeer tribute. We mastered Anna’s magical dance moves in time to surprise Elsa in her Ice Palace during a joyful rendition of Let It Go. Another memorable how was in the Disney Junior Dream Factory where we saw Mickey Mouse and friends perform, sing and make their rock star dreams come true. It was a very colourful, musical show with special effects of snow and smoke bubbles falling from the sky – we were in Disney dreamland.

With prime position we watched as the magnificent, brightly coloured floats passed us by with music blaring out. We loved seeing some of our favourite Princesses who, we are pretty sure blew us a kiss! Woody and Jessie from Toy Story danced passed us, along with some of the toy soldiers! Our arms ached from waving so much.

One evening we were treated to a spectacular illumination show which took us on an emotional journey guided by Peter Pan’s shadow, as some of our most loved characters were projected onto the castle. There were ‘wow’s’ galore as the impressive display of fireworks made our jaws drop. It was an unforgettable sight as they exploded in the sky and filled it with colours and light. It really was a moment that we will treasure forever, and we felt lucky to have spent it with each other.

As we entered Toy Story World, right before our eyes was a gigantic Buzz Lightyear. Everyone did their best impression of “to infinity and beyond’. Toy Story Soldier Drop was next on our list. We rounded up our army recruits (or daredevils) and braced ourselves for the 82-foot drop above an army base full of lookout towers and over-sized green toy soldiers. . The dare devil threesome took on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Hotel, a complete contrast and not for the faint hearted. They screamed their heads off as their stomachs lurched as they dropped through the floors of this scary hotel.
