Attractions of Blackpool with Steve & Michaela

  Attractions of Blackpool

We visited the Blackpool ballroom and watched all of the professional dancers. We felt like we were in an episode of Strictly Come Dancing! We enjoyed afternoon tea whilst watching the performance and some of us even joined in with the dancing. The Wurlitzer Organ was magnificent to see and hear.

We walked through the dungeons listening to the history of Blackpool and were entertained by the different sets and colourful actors. We then decided to go to the top of the Blackpool tower and when there were able to see for miles and miles. Some of the group were brave enough to walk on the glass floor which looked straight down to the ground below! We then went to see a circus show - it was absolutely brilliant!

In the Lake District, we spent the whole day taking in the beautiful sights and spectacular scenery.

Afterwards we went to the Beatrix Potter experience which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. As we stepped into the house we were brought back to magical tales from our childhood.

We took a steam train ride through the Lake District. We were pulled along through the beautiful county of Cumbria by this wonderful steam train.

At the Madame Tussauds we had a brilliant morning mingling with the rich and famous. We also had our photographs taken with our favourite celebrities.

One evening we all got dressed up and went to an amazing venue for dinner and to watch the ‘Blues Brothers’ show. We had a wonderful time dancing late into the night.

We went on the Magical Mystery Tour of Liverpool to follow in the footsteps of the Beatles. First we visited the amazing Beatles Museum before stopping at the Albert Dock to visit the Maritime Museum.  We had lunch at The Fab4 Cafe  and enjoyed being surrounded by all the Beatles memorabilia. We also had our photographs taken next to the four bronze statues.
