Biscuit Bake Off in France with Ollie & Isobel

       Biscuit Bake Off in France

We visited the chocolate factory for a fantastic tour and chocolate making workshop. We were shown how to mould the chocolate and shape it and even got to taste the chocolates! Yummy! Everyone had a brilliant experience and bought gifts in the shop afterwards.

Another day we went on a fantastic steam train ride that took an hour to get to Le Crotoy, a beautiful fishing village. We all marvelled at the outstanding views.

In the evening we enjoyed a few different activities which included swing ball, pool and table football.
We even had a BBQ!

At the biscuit factory we all had an amazing time learning how to bake the very finest French artisan biscuits. We mixed the ingredients and rolled out and shaped the cookie dough. Then we decorated the biscuits before putting them in the ovens to bake. Afterwards we each received a diploma certificate from the master baker himself.

Another day we drove to Hardelot Château and walked around the beautiful gardens and inside the castle which was built in the 12th century by the Counts of Boulougne.

We visited the biggest sea life centre in Europe, Nausica! We were truly amazed by the size of it! We saw huge lobsters, drifting sting rays, giant crabs, fearsome sharks, transparent jellyfish, graceful turtle, brightly coloured fish and so many more.
