The Wonders of the Isle of Wight with Phil, Tini & Wendy

The Wonders of the Isle of Wight

In the  evening we were treated to fantastic shows from Gotta Sing Gotta Dance, the west end duo Bells and Baxter, the fabulous leisure team and of course everyone enjoyed a boogie on the dance floor.

In Alum Bay we visited the fantastic glass blowing factory where we watched the glassmakers handcraft lovely vases and ornaments. At the sand crafting shop we filled souvenir shapes with different coloured sand.

We went to Godshill for a lovely walked around the stunning model village and enjoyed looking at the lovely crafted trees and shrubs. We spotted a few cute red squirrels too!

We visited Quarr Abbey, an imposing building built as a monastery for the French. We were all very impressed by the size of it! We also went to visit the ruins of the old Abbey where we saw the biggest and most magical oak tree.

At the donkey sanctuary we met all the lovely donkeys. Everyone enjoyed feeding and stroking them.

During our week we had fun taking part at a number of different activities from bowling, pool, tennis table and darts.

At Sandown beach we enjoyed a stroll along the front and had a scrumptious ice cream. Yummy!

We went to the Isle of Wight Zoo and saw many different species, including tigers, jaguars, lemurs, meerkats and many more.
