Royal Norfolk County Show with Jim & Candy

  Royal Norfolk County Show

The Royal Norfolk Show is the county’s biggest event of the year and attracts tens of thousands of visitors from all over the UK. There were more then 3000 animals at the show! We enjoyed looking at the woodlands crafts, agriculture, livestock and stalls bearing locally produced food. We also listened and danced to bands whilst relaxing with a cold drink in the glorious sunshine!

The Grand Ring is the centrepiece of the showground and it was packed with entertainment from heavy horses with carriages, livestock displays, musical performences, show jumping and incredible parachutists!

We went to visit the Holkham Hall estate with is extensive parkland's and grand house. It was so relaxing to walk around the beautiful Walled Garden where we saw spectacular large Victorian greenhouses which have been renovated back to their original splendour. At the far end of the garden one 'room' has been laid to lawn with surrounding flowers beds and grapevines, it was so beautiful!

We had a marvellous time on the Mississippi paddle steamer boat cruising down the river and taking in the glorious views of the Norfolk broads.

At Wells-next-the-Sea we stopped and enjoyed an ice cream on the sandy beach stretching for miles with it's beautiful colourful beach huts. It was so refreshing to be by the water!

On our last day we boarded on the steam train dated back from 1957, we felt back in time and loved embracing the whole experience! We all sat back and enjoyed looking at the stunning coast and countryside.
