Portugal Coastline with Derek, Adrian & Wendy

We felt the sun calling our names as we boarded our flight to sunny Portugal!  Arriving at our beautiful hotel, we unpacked in our large spacious rooms and set off to explore!

The glorious sun shone down us every day during our holiday, so making sure we covered ourselves in sun cream, we set off for our adventures.  Each morning we chose our breakfast from an astonishing variety of wonderful food.  They had pastries, cereals, fresh fruit, ham, cheese and a large variety of hot food - we were spoilt for choice!

We ambled around the lovely Praia Da Rocha, the lively town where we staying.  We ate refreshing ice creams and dipped into some local shops for gifts and souvenirs.  We took a fantastic ride on a land train, taking in the local beauty spots and buzzing marina.  There were colourful markets to look round and a funfair where we braved the rides!

We had the most amazing day at Zoo Marine, where we swam with the beautiful dolphins.  We learnt about how dolphins breathe and make noises, before getting into the water with them.  Two dolphins came straight up to us and we were able to stroke them and even give them a kiss!  We also watched a spectacular dolphin show where they jumped in synch and impressed us with their dazzling display.

On another day we had a fantastic boat trip! We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the lovely marina where a solar powered boat was waiting for us.  We set off along the coast and pulled into some atmospheric caves, where our voices echoed all around!
The captain and his crew ere great fun and let us drive the boat and fed us with fresh fruit and refreshing juice.

We spent time relaxing around the crystal clear swimming pool, going for a dip whenever we wanted.  We went to some stunning beaches where we sunbathed under umbrellas and swam in the sea.  What fun we had splashing around in the waves and cooling ourselves off!
We ate some incredibly delicious food during our holiday, sampling some traditional local cuisine.  There was lots of fresh fish on offer and many other seafood delights.  One evening we ate dinner in a rooftop restaurant!  We boogied away on the dance floor in the evenings at local bars playing brilliant live music.

We had all made many wonderful memories on holiday and made good friends.  Everyone expressed how much they would love to come again in the future!
