Spain - PortAventura & Ferrari Land
Our first day at PortAventura and our excitement levels were sky high!
We couldn't wait to hit the big rides and first up was Furios Baco which reaches up to a breathtaking speed over its 850 meter track. The adrenaline rush was incredible. Then,
it was time for the Shambhala! Standing at 75 meters tall, this roller coaster features
the longest drop in Europe. Every turn and drop were felt intensely, and the
sheer thrill had us all ecstatic. Of course there were some calmer rides for those who preferred something a little less thrill seeking.
Each
themed area, with its unique architecture and decorations, transported us to
different corners of the world, enhancing our experience. A highlight of the day was Tutuki Splash, a water ride that left us
drenched and laughing uncontrollably. We also loved blasting each other on Angkor; the perfect way to cool off!
Taking things to another level we took on the mighty Dragon Khan ride which begins with a descent followed by eight loops which pass through in 69 seconds, reaching a speed of up to 110 km/h. There are no words to describe the feeling!
It was off to
the Far West section Far West, an American- themed part of the park that
captures the essence of the Wild West with attractions like the Gold Rush
roller coaster and the Grand Canyon Rapids. We jumped
onto the rapids for a refreshing splash to cool off. Stampida—a
dual wooden roller coaster with racing trains. We watched it zoom by before
joining the queue ourselves. What a ride!

We explored the Ferrari gallery where we went on an interactive journey discovering the details of the history of the legendary Italian motor-racing team. Flying Dreams was up next, a soaring flight simulator that took us around the world—cheers broke out when London landmarks appeared. It was then our turn to become an F1 driver as we raced around the track in our own race car. We finished the day on the Thrill Towers, hearts racing and voices hoarse from screaming.
Sundowners on the beach was the perfect way to end our busy days. Things don't get much better than this!
