Butlins, Fun & Dancing (Bognor Regis) with Darren & Marguerite

Butlins, Fun & Dancing
We always enjoy all the fun of the fair at Butlins. We took our seats on the vintage style wave swinger and soared high into the sky. The dodgem cars were lots of fun as we did less dodging and more bumping and we spun round and round on the sizzler.

We set sail on the ‘Rockin Tug’ and rocked up and down and round and round.

After going on all the rides we entered the hall of mirrors and illusions. We did look funny with only half our bodies and being all different shapes and sizes in the mirrors.

We never missed a photo opportunity with the friendly Red Coats. They always make us feel so welcome.

The entertainment at Butlins is first class. After our evening meals, we couldn't wait to take our seats to watch the incredible tribute acts and shows. It was never long before we hit the dance floor ourselves and danced the night away. Luckily the Red Coats love to party as much as we do!

Making the most of this glorious sunshine we took a stroll down to the beach and took in the stunning views of the coastline. Darren never misses an opportunity to show off how fit he is so we challenged him on this great outside gym that we came across.

We couldn't go to the beach without treating ourselves to a tasty ice cream.

We hit the bowling alley for some friendly competition. The game commenced with boys vs girls and the girls showed off their girl power and were crowned champions!

We spent the morning at the Bognor Regis museum of local and social history. What a great place it was to visit. This museum show cased toys of yesteryear, the Ron Simpson vintage wireless collection, large scale models of buildings past and present, an Edwardian kitchen and a dressing up box for those who wished to try on clothing from years gone by.

Not wanting to miss the show stopping performance of Sleeping Beauty, the pantomime, we took our seats and were taken to a far- away, magical kingdom where we all hoped true love would conquer all. We got into the real pantomime spirit by booing and hissing at the evil Maleficent.
