Channel Islands - Jersey with Colin & Lesley

  Channel Islands - Jersey

We drove to a bay called St Brelades Bay, which just happened to be voted in the top 5 best beaches in Europe and they weren't wrong. It was stunning. Blue sea and white soft sand for miles.

We then made our way to St Helier harbour where there was a boat show that was taking place over the bank holiday weekend. Some of the boats we saw were worth over 2 million pounds. We sampled some local street food for lunch followed by a well needed Jersey ice cream!

At our hotel we enjoyed the swimming pool and a few even tested out the hot tub.

In St Helier harbour we got on a boat for a trip around the island. We left from Elizabeth Harbour and made our way around the coast line towards Corbiere Point taking in Elizabeth's Castle, St Aubins Bay, Portelet, St Brelades and Corbiere Point before making our journey back to port.

At the Steam and Motor Museum we saw a huge collection of classic cars, farm machinery and armoured vehicles and lots of working steam trains. We also took a trip on a steam train.

We made our way over to St Catherine's Bay. We all had an ice cream and sat, looking over the Bay and took in the beautiful views. We visited the Sand Sculptures, which were pretty amazing. The sand wizard had been making sculptures from sand for over 24 years and was in fact a world champion!
