Discover Croatia
We were all very excited to board the air plane for our short flight to our destination, Rijeka!
We took a scenic train journey following the coast line round to the town of Porec,
reputed to be almost 2000 years old. We then walked around the historic streets and looked at the stalls and local shops for
gifts and souvenirs.
The
weather was just as we hoped, blue skies and sunshine. At the harbour we looked at all the beautiful boats and booked
a cruise for later during the week. We then
walked in to Porec and stopped at the market stalls for a bit of shopping. 
We were fascinated by the many historic buildings in Porec. We visited beautiful old churches and saw amazing mosaics over 1500 years old. 
During our boat trip we took in all the beautiful sights. Our
first stop was at Rovinj, an ancient city, we explored the old pebbled streets and stopped for a drink before
returning to the boat. We then cruised into the Lim
Fjord where we saw the old pirates caves.
It was truly a brilliant holiday full of great memories to take home!
