With an exciting buzz in the air, we all set off to Butlins where we settled into our lovely comfortable lodges. We did lots of exciting things during our week away! The entertainment was excellent, as always, and we enjoyed many nights boogying on down on the dance floor! We impressed everyone with our funky dance moves! We saw a fantastic Beatles tribute act, a 60's music show, The Troggs and The Drifters tribute - wow! They were all amazing and we all loved singing along to those we knew.
We enjoyed a few games of pool, mini golf and ten pin bowling - everyone loved getting into the competitive spirit! We headed out into Skegness and soaked up some bright sunshine. We headed down to the glorious beach and took a leisurely amble whilst eating ice creams! Some of us wanted to buy souvenirs to take home so we dipped into a few gift shops to see what we could find!
We had a good go at the 2 penny slot machines - some of us even won cuddly toys! We took an invigorating walk along the pier and looked out over the lovely ocean. It was whipping up quite a breeze down there! One morning some of us went for a swim whilst others went off to play in the amusement area. We had our photos taken with the friendly Redcoats - they made us all laugh! A fantastic holiday loved by everyone.
