Yorkshire Dales, TV Soap County with Duncan & Tracey

  Yorkshire Dales, TV Soap Country  Off to Oxenhope for our first steam train experience. First, we had plenty of time to look around the hall at some of the beautiful old steam engines and perfectly restored old coaches. Our private compartments were in a coach that was 110 years old as it was built in 1910! W e were soon chugging up the line to Keighley listening to the sound of the locomotion and the steam whistle tooting happily!  We were so excited to be  visiting  Holmfirth, home to the much loved tv series Last of the Summer Wine. We kicked things off by visiting the world-famous Sid’s café where so many hilarious scenes were filmed of the hapless trio and where many of their misadventures took place. We were able to enjoy lunch here, where we soaked up some of the tv memorabilia under the watchful eye of Nora Batty. She looked like she was about to chase us out of the café at any minute with her broom!       Another treat for the soap...

Butlins, Fun & Dancing with Oli, Isobel & Candy

  Butlins, Fun & Dancing (Skegness) It was smiles all round as we met the friendly Red Coats. They always make us feel so welcome and we love showing off our dance moves and dancing the night away with  them!    The Butlins mascot was always pleased to see us too! We headed to the fun fair where we had a whale of a time flying high in the air on the High Swings and bumping and crashing into each other on the Dodgems. We couldn't resist trying our luck on the Hook a Duck stall where we all won some fantastic prizes!  A fantastic morning was spent at the Seal Sanctuary where we learnt all about their rescue program and how they nurse the seal pups back to full health. It was a real treat to watch them being fed before we had a chance to feed the very greedy goats and alpacas.                    Walking through the butterfly house was an experience.
