Christmas Celebrations at Warners (Gunton Hall) with Oli & Lorriane

 Christmas Celebrations at Warners

Ho,ho, ho Merry Christmas! We were spoilt with gifts from JollyDays and opened presents from our family and friends. In our festive clothes we headed outside to meet the main man, Father Christmas! What a special moment.

Christmas lunch was the highlight of the day—a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

We pulled our crackers, raised our glasses, and dug into the delicious feast. The conversation flowed easily as we shared stories about past Christmases.

We had so much fun participating in the “Christmas Clangers” handbell ringing session, where we tried (with varying degrees of success!) to play familiar Christmas carols. The results were hilariously off-key, but it was all in good fun.

The festive fun continued with a lively pantomime performance of Jack and the Beanstalk, filled with catchy songs, silly jokes, and plenty of audience participation. We joined in with boos and hisses and had the chance to take photos with the talented cast after the show.

A highlight of our holiday was when we gathered outside for the Christmas Carol sing-along around the tree. The chilly air was softened by the warmth of mulled cider, and our voices blended in harmony with the music, creating a magical atmosphere. The evening continued with a walk to the nearby lake where we were treated to a spectacular fireworks display, accompanied by the orchestral sounds of carols. The fireworks reflected beautifully on the still waters, creating a serene and enchanting moment.

The resident band, Crackerjax, set the stage with lively music, followed by the Warner Theatre Company’s performance of ‘Tis the Season. The show was a true celebration of the festive spirit, featuring a mix of upbeat tunes and heartwarming performances. The fun continued with the Big Christmas Disco, where we danced the night away.

We set out for a day of outdoor activities, starting with a stroll around the picturesque lake. The pre-booked archery and rifle shooting sessions were next, and everyone was eager to try their hand at these exciting challenges. On the shooting range, we each had a go at hitting the targets, proudly bringing home our target cards as proof of our success.
